Hugo HQ

Hugo HQ gives us an amazing space of around 20,000 square feet.  This new location forms part of our strategic growth plans and has consolidated a number of our buildings previously located on the SaxonBusinessPark, Bromsgrove.

This site is home to:

Engineer Workshops

Our workshops are resourced by highly-skilled biomedical engineers, dedicated to medical device maintenance that cover nearly all of the care areas within a hospital setting. The activities undertaken in the workshop consists of both medical device maintenance and repairs. We support the Renal / Urology sector which includes more than 1200 units tested both back-to-base and at patient homes/clinics.

Our Cardiac Care experts service Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps using our hybrid mix of field service and back to base on site servicing. Our enteral feeding technicians service and annually maintain approximately 30,000 enteral feed medical devices. This area represents the highest volume of medical devices tested by the Hugo business and runs similar to a production line.

Logistics & Warehousing

We co-ordinate the management of client assets, which includes medical devices, spare parts, consumables and packaging. As part of our warehouse area, we have a decontamination suite, insured storage areas and a logistics / delivery capability using our company vehicles.  We also provide a white-glove pre-commissioning service for medical device installation throughout major UK NHS trusts.

Customer Services

We liaise with clients and plan all work accordingly for our field engineers and the back-to-base engineers. We also undertake the service contract management and coordination of end users, including the NHS, Scottish Ambulance Service and the major blue-chip OEM clients.

The Hugo Quality Team

With Hugo being ISO 13485 certified, our in house quality team is responsible for daily activities such as process design, procedure writing, data analysis, performance measurement, employee training, internal auditing at both departmental and individual levels, QC inspection, risk management in accordance with ISO 14971:2012, facilities maintenance and equipment calibration, and the analysis of feedback from our workforce and clientele. Our QMS system, managed by our Quality Team has received numerous commendations from our clients.

All of our medical device OEMs generally seek a safe, quality controlled and efficient space for the repair, maintenance or service of their devices- And that is exactly what we deliver at Hugo 2 and Hugo HQ.

With a generous 14,500 sqft of space, Hugo 2 is currently home to most of our Back To Base Operation. We operate multiple working benches, each of which is dedicated to 10 different medical device manufacturers and their devices. Because we offer an independent and bespoke service to each OEM that we are in partnership with, we are able to work with all OEMs, regardless of competition by ensuring that each OEM medical device is segregated and controlled in line with our Quality Management System.

Hugo 2 also boasts of a large warehouse for all logistics needs, laser room, training room, offices and a boardroom for those important client updates.

FIELD SERVICE

Full UK coverage

Hugo also has a team of 20 field service engineers that cover the UK as a whole, with regular spport for our OEMs in worldwide and in the EMEA especially.

The engineers support a range of medical equipment including Patient monitoring, Ultrasound equipment, CT Injection equipment, Suction Oxygen Therapy equipment, Defibrillation equipment, and Liver Transplantation devices. The Hugo field engineers are respected in every NHS trust, and we are also the UK service agent for Philips Healthcare. We service, repair, upgrade and install devices at all acute NHS trusts across the UK.

Our field engineers have also been assigned to historic projects in the United States and Europe, where our expertise was needed to support our OEM’s needs.
